Inheritance Planning

Inheritance Tax (IHT) is often referred to as the 'voluntary tax'.  Despite this, the 40% charge made on death by the HMRC effects thousands of families across the UK, especially those who have not put plans in place to reduce this bill.

You dont have to be a millionaire to have an IHT problem. Many people prefer not to think about taxes that are due on their death, but getting expert advise could save you and your family a considerable sum of money. However, being aware of the potential problem is only the start - What you really need to do now, is make sure you take some action now.

Thankfully there are a range of options availabe to reduce the tax payable or even eliminate it entirely. As with most financial planning, the earlier you can start, the more choices you will have available to you. With the range of exemptions and releifs on offer there is usually some scope to reduce the burden, even for our older clients.

Our advice is entirely confidential and we will be happy to discuss all of your options in full, giving you the peace of mind that your affairs are in order.
